They totally ruined Las Vegas. When I started going in the '80s, you'd just give your name for a show reservation. When you showed up, the maitre d' would seat you, and if you slipped him $10-20, you'd get up front or get a booth. Then ticketmaster took over.

Are you sure that it wasn't in presale and not on sale for the general public yet?

A tip for yall.
If you didn't get tickets the day they went on sale, try the day of the show. 99% of the time, the best tickets in the venue are available that day. Why is that? The vendors have the ability to put their tickets back into the machine up to the day before the event. Many do this so they don't end up eating the tickets. I've gotten first row for myself and plenty of friends like this.
Fwiw, my father owned a ticket master for 20+ years

I think someone owes Ticketmaster an apology.

A lot of times they actually dont even get a majority percentage of the tickets for the venue to be able to sell.
Amex concierge is helpful alot of times, as they get their own allotments for most venues

They also charge the same amount if you buy them at the door most of the time

I think you've posted this before. I've tried it three times and came out great each time. Thanks!

It's a great trick that no one ever really knew about.
