i dont understand. F Ticketmaster and their obvious relationship with 3rd party online retailers.

ETA tried to buy tickets to Stapleton in Nola, watched the clock countdown to 10am, only to instantly be told no tickets available.

When you're there at the show, are you really having a lesser time because of how you purchased your tickets? That must suck.

I don't understand how it is not considered a monopoly when you can only purchase through them and there are $37 in fees attached to a $20 Taylor Swift ticket.

Many of the fees are not actually Ticketmaster.

Taxes, the venue, etc are all line items and TM is not really responsible. The convenience fees are absolutely horseshite, but you gotta pay to play.

Blame deceptive ticket prices across the board.

The secret is venues and sometimes artist get a share of those "fees". Ticketmaster just takes the blame

Then why not say the ticket is $55 plus a 2.00 processing fee.

You need to adjust your mindset. You didn't buy $50 tickets, you bought $85 tickets

Umm, people quit buying them and stop showing up, the tickets will be easy to get and cheaper

No point in trying that now. You can be first in line at the box office and you will be able to wait on a 17 yr old to navigate ticketmaster.

When you are able to purchase tickets 2 min after going on sale you will find yourself in the nose bleeds behind a column because all of the good tickets were given to amex users and all members of the Miley Cyrus fan club bought the rest 2 weeks ago on pre-sale.

You were trying to buy them online?

I learned that the key is call ticketmaster like 10 minutes before they go on sale. Keep yourself on their automated thing the entire time and then request the tickets as soon as they go on sale.

The TM app works faster than the website.

Friend gave me that tip before I bought tickets for Garth Brooks.

I just keep entering options on the automated thing to waste time. When tickets went on sale...immediately was offered tickets and bought them. I had my laptop open trying to buy tickets as well....kept saying it was searching and by the time it popped up....no tickets available.

Sure it's shite to pay the extra fees.
I try to look at it the way one used to buy cars back in the 80's.
You'd see an ad for a car for $10,000 base price. But once you added the options , total sticker price would be $19,000. Not just leather seats options, I'm talking normal options like a back seat, AC, 5 speed manual transmission( 4 speed is standard), tinted windows, radio, bigger gas tank, I can go on.
