I own one. I'll never own two.

I remember my old man having a grey one in the late 70's/early 80's. I wouldn't wear one today.
The guy in the OP looks a vaudeville refugee.

Lol, no they don't. Sagging your pants past your arse is never cool.
What does that have to do with sagging?

For really hot days - you could wear this number...

Because wool ties like the one in the OP look like he's wearing a dish rag which completely takes away from the goal of trying to look well-dressed.

You know, there are degrees of dressing well that exist outside of "formal" and "business". A wool tie on a suit like the one posted in the OP or with a blazer and slacks/chinos/jeans doesn't take away from the look.

It's funny because it's true.

I absolutely think the knitted wool tie takes away from the look, especially with suits like the OP, which is clearly being advertised to be worn in a "formal" or "business" setting.
If you want to wear one casually, with a blazer and slacks, totally fine. Wool ties with tweed blazers is a nice look. But buying one to wear with suit like that is just dumb.

Agree to disagree, but I understand your point.

If you work in a professional setting, this is a normal work uniform. Tis what I wear.

I own 4 3-piece suits. I have to wear a suit to work everyday, but I usually only wear the vest (waistcoat if you're a hipster) when it's cold outside. A lot of times I'll mix the vest with another suit to change things up.

I have two and the ladies enjoy them. I look damn good in them. Sorry you aren't comfortable with yourself.

I have a couple and have only ever worn them without the vest. They look too affected on me, personally.
With that said, there is a time and a place. Some people have the swagger to pull it off, i.e., this guy:
A three-piece suit really needs to be well tailored. Really easy to look awful.

This has never happened before, but the white guys have their shoe game on point.

That suit is bespoke and was made by Edwin Deboise at Steed. The owner has a tumblr, voxsartoria, and does indeed have swagger.
