What's gets me through my day. Let's see. Besides NOT having a cubicle, the harder I work the more I get paid.

cubes connected to major walkways are the worst

This.

However, if I had to work in a cubicle I'd rather have really high walls than the kind you can just sit up and see over. I'd have to assume that your coworkers, even if they're not douches, aren't going to be the kind of people I'd want to hang out with all day. At least with high dividers you get some privacy and it feels more like an office than a cubicle where you can see just the top of the head of 100 other poor souls like it's a human version of Whac-A-Mole.

I have high walls. I couldn't do low walls.

At least I'm in an office of only 9 people. It'd probably be a bit more miserable in some of these giant offices you all are talking about.

And for you phone people...we have Avaya phones.

I work in the field and my company truck is my office.
Gets pretty boring driving between accounts and calls.
Sometimes I call the other reps or prank call customer service
Got 12 volt fridge with beverages
Only have to put 40 hours don't care how you work it
I work long hours MTW thurs light day and take off friday
If I work sat I take off during the week
Basically manage myself as long as my goals are met I won't see ny boss

It gets boring but I love the money, benefits, vacation along with freedom.

Having an office is a MAJOR perk for me. I like noise (talk radio or classical music), for one thing. Also can't stand listening to phone conversations, etc.

I'm sure I'll land back in a cube at some point in my career so I'm appreciating every day.
