Have friends that moved to Boston after college and their heater went out one day. When they called the repair guy to come give the unit a look he was howling laughing when they told him they had no idea they had to order and add oil to it.

It’s not jobs you don’t see back home, but the amount of people in biotech here is absurdly high comparatively.
The medical field is also much larger here in comparison.
Then there’s the obvious jobs like snow plowers, ski resort employees, etc.
Also, no kidding, there are a ton of people who work downtown here and their sole job is to keep the area clean and offer directions and advice to tourists. You mainly see them along the freedom trail where it’s mostly tourists.
