The dudes he were with didn't really look like they were buying his shite. The dude riding with him seemed like Long might have feed him some bullshite at first then he realized Long was nuts.

If I had to guess, I would say Long was looking for something to fit in with, but didn't really understand his place because he thought he was smarter than other people.

He came to "educate", but I bet he started to sense people were not buying is his so in his mind he had to take things a step further to validate himself. I wish he would have died a slow painful death.

He was in Baton Rouge for days. He picked a gas station that was less than 2 miles from his hotel, less than 3 miles from I-12, and 9 miles from BRPD HQ. It's pretty easy to see why and when he picked it. He could have literally figured all that out before he even made it to BR.

Are you actually inferring the BRPD used was involved in a conspiracy to kill it's own GOOD officers?

Just watched the video.. And he's still a racist POS, but he wasn't dumb. That's for sure.
And something happened from the point (this video), to where it ended up leading to.

He didn't seem like someone set on just killing cops the day he arrived here. He could've been getting a feel for the community, with his plans based on his assessment.

I really don't know.. Could be his ideology paired with wanting to be a Dallas copycat. The two guys were very similar.. That's for sure.

I watched the videos Sunday evening.

He wasn't mentally ill. A bit deranged, I'd have to say yes. He was ate up in Black Power and Black Separatist movements.

He used his military training for evil rather than to lift himself and others.

He definitely had some elements of narcissism. I checked his social media accounts too. I think he had more little man syndrome and as someone else said previously in the thread when the Baton Rouge brothers dismissed him and didn't jump on board with his bullshite he said F it, I'll show these guys how it's done and thought he'd set an example and inspire others in Baton Rouge and across the country to take it upon themselves to have a "see a pig, kill a pig" attitude.

If we're going to be serious about public safety, then the FBI needs to get serious about breaking these black power groups apart and infiltrating them like they did the Mafia, the Militias and the outlaw bikers.

These black separatist groups are terrorists, they're committed and they're going to cause more deaths, even though I expect them to lay low for awhile.

Obama's legacy will be that he emboldened racist terror groups and set our country back 50 years.
