Well mark me down for liking animals more than people. They kill to protect and eat. We kill out of stupidity, drugs, hate, etc! I will just say this and I am out of here. To the ones that say he is just a lion and it is stupid. Go frick yourself!! These trophy hunter are the fricking scum on the earth. What in the hell do you get out of killing big game? To just have there heads as a trophy in your fricking, "I am the most bad arse man on the earth room".
I hope they drop the fricking hammer on this guy and "he" is the start of ending big game hunting.

Whenever there is news about someone's pet getting killed or stolen, or someone rescues a dog from the pound, the gushy comments from the OT often make me think about how much change there has been in how society views animals.
Folks today are much more pussified about them than when I was a kid. That's not bad. It just is.
Yet many in that same crowd give no shits about the lion. frick that old pet lion. Just shoot his arse. But look out for the crying-fest on here if someone finds a stray lab that has been shot.

Is it possible to not give a shite about that lion, but also think that trophy and or predator hunting is stupid? Because that's how I feel

You do realize that most of this big game hunting happens outside of America? People here are all riled up because they're a bunch of whiny fricking pussies. Over in Africa where it happened I doubt anybody gives a frick... except the govt officials that are using this "outrage" as a means to get paid.
Ask someone in Africa what their opinion is on big game hunting and they'll likely tell you they're more concerned about someone cutting them up with a machete or raping their daughters.

People priorities are so fricked up. I understand not giving a shite about things happening across the globe. That's your perogative. But 90% of that continent hasn't been told it isn't 1600 anymore and what people choose to care about is some damn cat.

I could post up some pics of different countries I visited in Africa. People are stunned and outraged about a lion getting killed... I wonder how they'd feel if they saw the living conditions over there.

Problem is OP referencing Facebook. I am on Facebook so I am not a facebook hater, but it changes with the wind.
The marines were shot then then LA theater shooting happened pretty quickly after. Be glad they are able to bitch about a dead lion for this long. Means people aren't being shot.
BTW I thought Kimmel looked like a douche with his "choking up". But I did enjoy his line,"how small does your penis have to be to feel good about killing things that are stronger than you?"

You people realize that if big game hunting is outlawed then a good majority of these preserves in Africa would not be able to function. The guide and landowner purposely lured and tracked a tagged lion instead of going after the ones they are allowed to hunt.
If big game hunting is outlawed a lot of these species will become endangered because private landowners won't go through the trouble of accommodating and breeding these animals. I know people want to be outraged and start throwing blame and shame but think before you act. People need to read the scarlet letter. We are all sinners but we jump on the chance to shame someone who gets outed for their mistakes in an attempt to deflect from our own shite transgressions.
