I've taken a hiatus from this place, from work, and from news coverage in general. What's the deal with this dentist?
What I think I know: an American Dentist, big trophy hunter, goes to Africa and pays a bunch of money to shoot a lion. His guide brings him to a lion and he shoots it, but whoops, it's a famous lion. Now, everyone who is morally outraged about big game hunting has turned their hatred at this dentist.
Are there details that I'm missing? The photo above has a sign that says 2008 - wrong pussy; 2015 - wrong pussy. That's potentially pretty funny. Did the guy have an affair I. 2008, and these protestors are linking the two incidents?

I imagine 95% of these faux outraged people had some sort of variation of...

I would be more outraged but I've never seen an Animal Channel type documentary on this particular lion. So I'm not really feeling it. Plus Cecil is kind of a stupid name for a lion.

Well, it was an illegal kill. The people who helped him were actually arrested in Zimbabwe. The guy is also a trophy hunter, which a lot of people are against (which is fine -- I don't like trophy hunting either).

Just wanted to drop in and say that IDGAF about a dead lion or any illegal activities that occur in Africa. I mean there are people over on that continent kidnapping girls and selling them as sex slaves and there are people over there that enjoy hacking up people with machetes... but hey if faux outrage about a dead lion is your thing then who am I to get in the way of your emotions.

Well...the marine story was all over the news too but it was an American story. The shooter is dead. What do you want us to do? Send tweets demanding they dig the towelhead shooter's body up and hang it?
