Her name is Bean
She had major back surgery to repair some disk 8 weeks ago
Since the surgery she regained full health and was like a puppy again, playing and full of life, she was like brand new again. Until this past wednesday something seemed off with her, she started walking slowly and wobbling. Everyday she progressively has gotten worse, and now her bottom half is paralyzed. She cant pee on her own and her crap just comes out, and its horrible to just watch her like this. So my question to you OT is what do we do? We dont have the $ for another surgery, and also it could be a disease that will always give her problems no matter what. Its killing us on what might have to happen, but we hate to see her suffer. A dog that is full of life when she is healthy but depressed and sad when she cant play anymore or go outside to run around. She is a good dog and she is like a child to us, please say a prayer for my family and puppy that god can lead us in the right direction here.
UPDATE
Just wanted to update you guys, our Baby was blessed by help from a secret santa and got surgery done again, she had 2 bulging disc, and the Dr was able to fix it all! The DR told us she has a 50% chance to make a full recovery and be able to walk again. If it happens and she cant walk, then she will be able to use a wheel chair and scoot pad. Her pain will be gone though!!! Thank the good lord, thanks for any prayers and support

Remember while you're reading this, our dogs had not had surgery, but had lost feeling and use of their back legs:
Had a doxie that had disk issues and we got a "wheelchair" for him, with the advice from the vet that I worked for that there was a slight chance that he would regain use of his back legs, but it was a very slight chance. He adjusted instantly to the wheels, loved his mobility, and after awhile (can't remember how long exactly) was out of the wheels and back to normal. Loaned it to a friend how had the same experience we did.

They moved my thread from here to the political board for some reason and now back to the OT.
Thanks for the responses guys

How much did that back surgery cost?

Very very sorry you are all in this situation, but it's time to put her down. Love her enough to end her suffering. She'll always be with you even after she's gone.

Put the little mutt out of its misery and buy a new one.
You'll be over it by weeks end.

Damn sorry to hear 84 if she is just getting worse it is time to end her pain. Sucks especially during the holidays but stay strong.

A vet friend of mine gave the this bit of advice when it comes to pets. When your pets ceases being a pet and is now becoming a patient. It's time to look at end of life options.

That sucks bro. I assume it is an infection that did this to her. Hate that for you man.

Thanks Crimson.
Im actually thinking of trying the wheelchair thing just to give it a shot. It may give her time to heal a bit and still be active enough to not kill herself of depression.

What has the vet offered as to why this is happening?
Having undergone major surgery, your payment should have covered follow up visits for monitoring progress. Also, if the surgery failed, the vet should see this for the benefit of other dogs.
