Why most New Orleans based movies have a Mardi Gras parade. then just blocks away is usually a swamp and has voodoo type shite going on

The fact that there are many types of Southern accents is of no interest to them. They regard the South as a place of tongue-speaking snakehandlers who lynch blacks, home school their children, and refuse to make wedding cakes for homosexual newlyweds.

Why should they? The North and its unholy trinity of Hollywood, Washington DC, and the Ivy League dominate American media and culture. We are forcefed their values every moment of every day.

I was replying to the post about them hating the south. Most northerners don't give the south enough thought to from an opinion.

Inferiority complexes run rampant in the south.
