Thinking of putting grass in my backyard..recommedation?

I just had a large water oak tree removed. Stump is grinded but the weed is starting to show up.
Backyard is good size. 1/4 has grass. 1/4 is the tree stump grinded. Other 1/2 is pebbles embedded in clay/soil. Area without grass is about 600 sqft.
Anybody recommend a good company? Also, what is the estimated on such a project?
Thanks for the help.

You're going to pay anywhere from $150 to $200 for a pallet of sod depending on which type of turf you use. Each pallet will cover around 450 sq ft.
Prep work will be critical!!!!

The tree was about 100 ft tall. It was a 2 day job. Stump was around 6 feet in diameter. What happens when the strump get grinded is that you are left with this giant bed of mulch. That is what I have now.
Any company recommendation?

Just curious. How much did you pay for the tree and stump removal? I have a large oak, not quite that big, that I need removed.

It was 4k. Biggz tree services. It was a tight spot between 2 properties.

If your up for it, to cover that area, it shouldn't take you but a couple of hours to lay a pallet and a half. Pay for it to be delivered. They may even be able to drop it in your back yard.

Just be happy some a-hole didn't cover your whole yard with gravel. Previous owner did that.
I built myself a little side driveway with some of it. Still have an inch or so in my whole front yard to go. Some neighbors want some.
Such a pain in the arse

Yes, it was the cheapest quote I got. 2 day job with 9 men is not cheap. You should see the machineries/hauling trucks they bought in. I watched the removal process with amazement. It was very hard and dangerous.
I have another tree in the backyard where I can't fully hug the base with my hands touching. The guy said that there are branches on the water oak that were bigger than this tree.
When I was getting estimates. One guy said he wouldn't even touch. That's how big and hard the job was.
I'd be glad to post pictures if I knew how to.

Previous owner did it so she could park in the back.

Terrible grammar while making a weed reference. You can't make this stuff up.
