You should definitely check out the Travel Board. I hear it's a really good time

Astros game, Rockets playoff game, Dynamo games can be fun, Hermann Park and Miller Outdoor Theatre, Rice University closeby is beautiful, one of the greatest restaurant cities in the nation, check out if anything is going on at one of the great theaters, tons of great museums, Discovery Green downtown usually has a lot of kids stuff going on, etc.

Houston is a great city, unfortunately most people on here will give it a hard time because they only go or live in the suburbs.

Eat at Marini's Empanada House. It's on Westheimer just inside the beltway, west of downtown. You'll have to go on Friday or Saturday they are closed on Sundays.

Current best Houston bar.

Don't go to any Ninfa's besides the one on Navigation.

Also lol at anyone slamming Houston for chain restaurants. The Houston restaurant scene is amazing right now.
