Sure they do, but on average, many Southern Law graduates will never pass the bar exam. That's a problem.
Do you have any stats to back that up other than first-time passage rate?

Start with shutting down LSU-E completely. Have ULL, McNeese and LSU-A within very close proximity.

Segregation is over. All you have to do is meet LSU law school requirements. How is that racist?
The argument is that there is a large educational divide in our country where typically lower income black families live in districts with underperforming schools. Their kids receive a lower quality education, and thus do not score as well on standardized tests. However, you would think they would be on even playing field after college, but perhaps it depends on other factors.

I don't know how accurate this site is.

Post-Graduation
Very low percent of graduates employed (76.4%) Very low percent of graduates passing bar (55.8%)
Much worse pass rate vs. same state peers from all law schools (-13.9%)

Because shutting down a law school that provides a valuable service is a dumb suggestion
Aside from the fact it would severely reduce the number of attorneys, many who end up on the government tit (not that those jobs would go away, we would just have competent attorneys in their position, ultimately improving Louisiana), any funding Louisiana taxpayers funnel to SU Law would no longer be wasted.
And you can't honestly say that a 30% bar passage rate and the majority of Southern's product are not abysmal. You may be a fine attorney. Most Southern grads are not.

Poor legal writing at LSU Law. Time to shut that bitch down.

Well, given that passage rate for the Feb bar (which is generally taken by people who have failed the July bar) is ever worse, I'd say that's a strong indication that many never pass. Nearly 60% of southern graduates failed the July 2015 bar. If the averages hold up, only about 20-25% of those who retake the bar next month will pass. That still leaves nearly half the graduating class that has not passed the exam after two tries.

I graduated from Southern Law aka the "yard" over a decade ago and I turned out great! :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird: :doublebird:

The school even admitted that the school was shite and the degree almost worthless compared to others. The said in not so many terms that they had to have suno so people that couldn't get into better colleges would have a place to come get a degree.
So in a sense they hand out participation trophies, not degrees

Explains a lot.

That's great. There have been many great attorneys graduate from Southern. But they are the exception, not the rule. For every great attorney that graduates from Southern there are probably 10 Southern grads that never pass the bar.

Georgia did this exact same thing. I don't see why Louisiana can't.

To be honest, this arguement that everyone should get a trophy crap when it comes to education is complete BS.
Some people are just not cut out for school and definitely not a post grad degree.
So having schools that are very low for standards just so that a certain group of people in the country have a chance to go to a post grad degree school is total BS.
If you don't make the grades and can't score well enough on the tests, then you just can't get in. I didn't go to a post grad school and never applied for one. But if I couldn't make the grades to get in, I SHOULDNT have the ability to go to a school with greatly lower standards.
All that is doing is trying to polish a turd. No matter how many times you try and polish poop, it's still poop.
