This is going to turn racial when you bring out the Pepsi vs Coke wars.

I currently live in NC, and Pepsi love is obviously (and unfortunately) rampant here, to the point that people choose to mix it in with their bourbon when there is Coke freely and readily available. The sane mind boggles at, and recoils from, such horror.

If I wanted a pepsi I would water down a Coke and let it sit for a couple hours.

Pepsi is some nasty stuff and pepsi drinkers should be round up and forced to live in a compound near Waco, Texas.

I am going to explain. Then you will promise to stay off the political board.
We get a lot of your kind there, claiming the inability to follow really complex logical arguments.

Company A makes COKE. Company B makes PEPSI.

Company A makes an inferior low cal Coke product with fewer calories. the poster does not like it as much as low cal Pepsi.

Company B has managed to make a decent tasting low cal Pepsi. at first their low cal Pepsi was awful. now its not.

classic COKE > current Pepsi

low cal Pepsi > low cal Coke

Very true - used to represent a number of local Coca-Cola bottlers. The Cokes in the small glass bottles were awesome.

ubi sunt

Latin poetry
"My sweet Patootie used to be so hot and cute, and now she's in the cold cold ground",
"where have all the flowers gone?" Peter Paul and Mary)
I know you are correct. the small glass bottle Coke had to be a different formula from the plastic versions.

I don't drink coke or any kind of soda but I may not go back to a place that serves Pepsi over coke. Pepsi is so bad that I don't trust your opinion on food and beverage if you choose it. It's the flavor of flat coke but somehow recarbonated.

The heavy recycled glass and small size made for a perfect Coke. The short transportation time also helped. Now, the glass ones aren't nearly as good. The local equipment was easier to monitor for perfect quality. The glass bottles they recycled apparently had a different glass, and the long shipping distances now give the contents a chance to fade. The Mexico cokes are as close as you are going to get, and they don't cut it.

In the seventies I worked in a supermarket and every night we had to "worK" the bottles that had been brought in that day. After a big sale it would be thousands of bottles. We sorted them by bottlers. The Coke bottler in our town did Dr. Pepper, Sprite, Fanta, and of course Coke. the Pepsi bottler was Pepsi, 7UP and Mt. Dew. The RC bottler--now that was a good coke--had Diet Rite, Nehi and RC.

Those bottles were filthy. I would say at least one in every ten had a cigarette in them. It is sort of hard to imagine how they got them so clean to reuse them but they did.
