I'll be in 3,9 and 10 late next summer. Can't wait.

I'd rank them in that order. All the Italians will tell you Venice is a shite hole and maybe in some ways it is, but if that is the case it's the most unforgettable shite hole in the world.

Venice appears to be overrated on this list, especially when you review it against Florence which gets rave reviews.

Haven't been but heard it's pretty smelly at times and does kind of suck in comparison to the others.

Boston should not be ranked. Good city, but not top 20. San Fran is ranked a little too high, but I think deserves a spot on the top 20.

Asia is criminally under represented on this list.

Istanbul should be higher.

I don't know shite about Cape Town.

All in all, this list seems like a list of where white tourists like to go.

Edit: Okay, now that I clicked the link I see these aren't the best cities, but rather the top destination cities. I still stand by Asia being under represented and Boston being too high.

Hong Kong doesn't interest me much at all.

Bangkok does though. Hope to go there next December.

I like visiting "fricked up" countries

To wit, my next 3 on my list are:
Peru
Cambodia
thailand

I hope I survive

Probably my favorite city I've ever been to. It's a cool fricking city.

Ya, I'm sure I'd like it. I like just about anywhere if I'm not going to die there. It's just down my list a bit. Probably hit it on a stopover some day

Venice is an amazing city , i would definitely rank it above Rome. With the water in Venice everything slows down and that gives it a great charm. Rome is great, but, too fast paced in my opinion.

Yeah I agree. Boston is unique. Chicago just feels like a big generic city to me.

Cambodia

I worked for the UN in Rwanda (although I lived in Tanzania) for three years. For my next posting, they wanted to send me to Cambodia for a few years. I declined.

Guess it's up to personal opinion. I just thought it would be given that's it's consistently mentioned along with NYC and San Fran as one of the best places to visit and arguably has the best food of any US city.

I have visited 11 of them

Too bad New Orleans is so dirty and full of crime or it would be high on the list
