To be fair, Elsa does give off some really gay vibes. Let It Go is the gayest song Disney has ever made. But aside from subtext, there's no way Disney is going to sink one of the biggest franchises by making the deuteragonist openly gay. The best the fans are going to get anytime soon is subtext.

So they don't like the hetero relationships in every Disney movie?

If you're going to watch a Disney animated film and you're hoping to walk away with some sort of commentary on society, one way or the other, then you're doing it wrong IMO.

Has nothing to do with what I want. I thought it was blatantly obvious

I guess they could just include a song similar to Avenue Q

if you were gay

And the one about how everyone is a little bit racist too.

Threads like this are why I love the OT.

Yeah, I got this vibe from the very start as well, and then when "Let It Go" started, there was no doubt in my mind this was the case. And Disney has not been shy about having highly implied gay characters in the past (mostly villains), so it's not without precedent: LINK

You mean normal, natural couplings that have grown all species since the dawn of time?

They already did Mulan. She was a lesbian. The non-animated Mulan is also a lesbian on Once Upon A Time.

Good thing I'd rather raise daughters than breeding stock.

She had a crush on the Prince. I don't think Mulan at least in the original is gay since everything she's doing is to spare her father and she's simply a klutz.

Elsa though, the Prince himself fairly clearly implies he thinks she's a lesbo. There's a lot more to it than simply acting like a man with her.

Well, to be fair, although homosexuality does occur in nature, I think you would be hard pressed to say that it does anything to maintain the survival of the species.

I guess I'm the only one on the OT that hasn't seen an animated little girl movie.

I'm not specifically calling you out, I'm talking about people who take it that seriously in the first place.

Also, what is so blatantly obvious about it? I've read all of the articles and blogs that try to suggest it was obvious when that is simply not the case.

If you (moviegoers and critics, not you specifically) WANT it to be the case, sure you can see it, but those same subtexts can be found in plenty of animated films. Suggesting a story about someone who was shunned for being different and then conquers their fears and the public finally embraces them is a theme of many, many movies. Are they all gay themed movies? Of course not.

It's a legitimate good movie. If you haven't seen a fairly universally loved movie, what are you scared of? I think it points more to signs of your insecurity than our own.

Wtf are you talking about? Are you denying the most basic tenets of biology? Acknowledging the basic fact of life makes someone "breeding stock"?

It's a good movie and has made billions, but you're probably right. Feel free to shite on it.

Obviously I'm not talking about amoeba, or certain species of sex changing fish. Or asexual snails, or etc.

But overwhelmingly in almost all species you need sperm and egg. That's just the way things work, and most definitely how primates work.

That's not what I'm talking about. He said male/female reproduction produced every species. There are species that reproduce from 2 sexually identical individuals, some that reproduce from more than 2 individuals, and some that reproduce asexually
