In the summer people normally sneak out of the office early on Fridays. Screw that shite it’s too hot, we need to save our sneak out early days for this time of the year. This is the weather we need to be taking advantage of not the 105F in the summer.

It depends why you are leaving early. I leave early during the summer cause I have a 3 hour drive to the camp. I don't leave early at this time of the year cause my kids have soccer on Saturdays so I'm not going anywhere.

The south is perfect as it is.

No need for change.

Worked as a contractor in a plant that does 9-80 schedule. After noon on every Friday that joint was dead.

If the south is so bad then why do so many of you yankees keep moving here? No we will not change our culture, we will protect it.

Inexplicably, southerners have developed an incredible ability to not only survive, but thrive in oppressive heat and humidity. In fact, we frickin’ love it!!! Do you have any idea how much fun regular folk have around here on a hot Friday evening?!?!?! Catch it, boil it, fry it, wash it down and celebrate it. C’mon man!!!!

I made my first visit to State in the middle of July. Drove straight through from the upper Great Lakes. Drove through the heaviest rain I ever saw as I hit the state line. Experienced my first humid AF night when checking in around midnight. Nowhere is better this time of year than Starkvegas.

I went north during the summer until I finished college and then went to Florida. Worst heat I've experienced during my first week living there. Got used to it and hated the cold whenever we visit family. Southern culture >>> NE culture.

Yessir, the South is gonna change. Everything's gonna be put on electricity and run on a paying basis. Out with old spiritual mumbo-jumbo, the superstition and the backward ways. We're gonna see a brave new world where they run everyone a wire and hook us all up to the grid.

I’m in sales and like to hunt so I sneak out around November and return to office mid January.
