do ya keep in touch with that person?

Yes. She moved out beginning of November 2013 and moved a few hours away. We both still love each other, but I texted another girl inappropriately so I lost her trust and screwed myself in the process.

We'll go stretches without texting but we always seem to touch base again, usually she sends me a text to initiate this.

Good song and great statement.

Funny, though, I get another email out of the blue and the last time I saw her was 10 or so years ago. Every once in a while, that "what if" will creep into my mind. But not enough to make me think about jeapordizing anything, but it's still there. Since we have mutual friends, she saw some of my pics on FB and said "you have a son...the one that we were supposed to have together." WTF was that about?

Kind of.

I never even dated this one. The former GFs are history and I don't think about them. But I had really good friend who I should have dated, but one of us was always dating someone else. Later on, we both acknowledged that we probably should have tried it.

She ended up marrying a guy who has almost identical interests as me (we'd likely be good friends) and ended up moving to a town where I went to school and visit frequently. We talk briefly on occasion, but I don't think there is anything troublesome about it, just kind of interesting how things develop or don't.

My "one that got away" basically got away yesterday. I knew this would happen right when I met her a few months ago, but it still sucks.

She's moving to NYC for a year after graduating college. I have another semester in college. We'd gotten really close, so it is honestly gonna be a bitch to stop thinking about her.

By definition, "the one that got away" got away for good. You don't know where she is or how her life turned out or even if she's still alive. Now, she exists only in your alcohol-fueled dreams and reveries.

Yeah, I know.

She's even kinda hipster-y.

I know. I'm not gonna contact her. It just sucks cause everything was perfect and now I'll probably never talk to her again.

Really the main problem is that it is summertime and I'm back at home. If I was on campus, I could go out, get obliterated, and try my best to take home some annoying whore. Instead I'm at home, thinking.

nah

she ended marrying some dude about 20 years older than her and then deleted me and whole bunch of other people off FB and moved to Canada. She looks like a gold digger now.
