I ended up marrying the one that got away. We broke up because I was a dumb arse and ended up back together and married. 7 years, a kid and one on the way, things are great.

I chased another girl for years in college. To this day, the most beautiful girl I ever been with.
We finally hooked up two years ago and it was glorious. I have to say, it was worth the wait.
She dumped me like two weeks later. Don't care. I felt like I finally scaled mount everest.

Nope... She is doing well. She sent me an IM through FB in 2012. We had a mutual friend. No need or desire to contact her. Glad she is doing well. As funny as it sounds I think we both did better than we had when we were together. I know I did.

I still see her a lot since we both were in college together and goto the same church. We're still a little friendly towards each other but it's still a little weird. Her dad and i still get along great, though.
I'm glad i'm not with her because she was a little ball of crazy and i needed that heart break, that tough love, to grow up. It motivated me to improve myself so when the right woman came along, i was ready for her.
If "the one that got away" hadn't gotten away, i never would have become the awesome guy i am today.
