Beartooth Highway

Although Going-to-the-Sun gives it a run for the money, if not better.

I've driven the GTTSR and without going on Beartooth it's probably no contest that GTTSR is better. This is on many bucket lists for drives in North America. I don't see how it wasn't selected.

That guard rail isn't nearly high enough.

Right?! It's an unnerving drive until you get used to it. That and the roads are not very wide.... no shoulders in a lot of places. RVs/trucks of a certain size are not permitted Fortunately everyone there is there for the same reason and are quite cautious.

Beartooth is usually considered one of the top roads in America and it rightly deserves being there. PCH is usually the one that can beat it reliably. It's a toss up with GTTSR to be honest, both are incredible drives. You should do Beartooth.

Going to The Sun Road is no 1 in MT.

Eta: sorry it's early. I didn't bother looking at the posts just above mine.

Nobody drives down bourbon, and when they do, it sucks.

I've done the whole thing and it isn't even remotely in league with the big roads in East Tenn. it's a nice road, there is just better in the state.

This and it's about to be littered with McMansions and commercial shopping plazas.

South Carolina's Botany Bay on Edisto Island is one of the most famous roads in the south. Its canopied trees make for a stunningly shaded — and super Instagrammable — drive.

Ugh. I wish those people who just want to visit these places for the sole purpose of showing other people that they visited would go away.

Yeah, that pick alone makes the whole list absurd IMO. These ranking articles are just shitty clickbait even if not in a slideshow, and yet I STILL click on them.
