Glad it's not just the USA that is subject to pussification.

The Canadian national anthem is discriminatory because it's not inclusive to non-Canadian citizens. Time to march on Ottawa.

The French-language version of the anthem, which uses different lyrics than its Anglophonic counterpart, is already gender-neutral.

How can this be so, when essentially every noun in the language is gender specific?

Nobody knows anything past "Oh Canada" anyway.

Did you know they're changing it back to the lyrics they had previously to WWI?

They originally changed them to encourage men to join the military and fight in the war.

Canada’s national anthem no longer excludes half the country's population.

I disagree with this thought. English borrows much of its language from Latin. Romance languages, like Spanish, often use the masculine form when referring to a group of people. Based on the context, I have always felt like generically stating "men" represents both sexes.

I like to sing it to the tune of "Oh Christmas Tree."

I agree in general. There's something decidedly more noble sounding about a word like mankind than say humankind. I guess some people may say that's just the result of "gender conditioning," but I don't know.

Exactly.

Weir's original lyrics from 1908 contained no religious references and used the phrase "thou dost in us command" before they were changed by Weir in 1914 to read "in all thy sons command".[1][9][10][11] In 1926, a fourth verse of a religious nature was added.[12]

But whatever let's run with the stupid liberal pussification theme!
