I know what you're going to say, every school in NOLA is crap. but I mean there has to be at least one good school district in the entire Nola area. I'm talking about a K-12 system, not just one particular school. What about the Lakeview area?

Hynes is good I think, but it isnt automatic enrollment by living in Lakeview. It is a charter school which means you have to test in. I dont think there is any true public school in NOLA that is worth a shite

Not a true public school. Living in district doesnt mean you get in

I thought that was the only guarantee...assuming you aren't handicapped.

I'm aware of that, because NO has no school districts in general. So I answered the question as best as possible.

I think it means you are tier 1, but your child still has to test in. A true public school to me is you live in the district, and you get it as simple as that

They had a district area but they may have gotten rid of it recently. I know it was up for debate about a year ago or so, so I'm assuming it happened because it sounded like that it was going to happen.

I then moved away so I don't have to worry about this problem.

To put it in perspective, NOLA has as many good public schools as they do streets.

Ah gotcha. Don't really follow the social welfare trends of the rich so I am out of the loop.

Yeah, even Lusher is a little sketch for High School. Catholic or Private if you can go that route.

St. Tammany Parish (minus some Slidell schools), St. Charles Parish, Belle Chasse, and the magnets in Nola/JP are all good.
