I have no problem with people spending their own hard earned money on a super nice car that goes vroom vroom but my personal opinion is that if I'm spending anywhere near that money I am going to get a base sized truck that is nice but also gives me the utility

I remember when I used to think my vehicle defined who I am. Gave up that note and got an Altima

See this is why I bought a Frontier. Got a fully loaded “used” Frontier with 365 miles on it for $21K. It’ll tow anything I’d ever need to and is a solid ride.

I looked at F-150s, but anything less than 100K Miles was over $35k. It’s insane.

what trims? I assure you there are xlt's to be had with under 100k miles for less than 35. Hell you can get a new xlt for under 35

Last fall I looked all over SELA and couldn’t find any F150 XLTs with less than 100k miles for less than $35. Might have been when I was looking.

Very happy with my Frontier.

I find that extremely hard to believe, but sounds like it worked out for you.

These people will be prostituting their little asses in the alleyways soon enough. 2008 will rear its little head again. Just wait for fuel to creep up again which it will eventually do.

For 80k, it had better be able to give me BJs.

Nah its subprime lending pushing the prices. Similar to the housing crisis, luckily this will affect a lot less people.

SShhh. Don't post that you got a good deal on here, some don't like that.

I do think it is relevant to state that cars/trucks are lasting longer than ever.

Most of them are lasting longer than ever, but that's definitely not the case with Ford diesels.

That's an excellent deal.

My philosophy with vehicles is to take the Delta Airlines approach. Don't buy bad products....just buy what is currently under valued.

Think of leftover Nissan Frontier, Chrysler 200, "white Chevy work truck", and Kia Sorrento models from last year. They all work just fine and could be had with plenty of creature comforts.

Except the interior on the Frontier is shite compared to modern vehicles.

But point taken.

I just spent $32,000 on my 2017 Silverado and it has most of those features.

Upvote just for the 280z reference.

The 300zx was the greatest car ever made. Anyone who’s ever owned one would agree. No blind spots. Best handling vehicle ever built.

Bought a king ranch in 2011. Sticker was 48, paid 38. Looking again and same truck is 65 now, wtf? In Lake Charles and started looking in Texas also. They can down to 55 and that’s still insane. Gonna hold out another month or two and see if I can get a 17 in the fourties. Suggestions on dealers? Mac Haik seemed to have good prices

My suggestion is just buy a nice new XLT for $33-36k. King Ranch prices are absurd and XLT has plenty enough options.
