What's a good age that kids will actually enjoy it. It's like 70 bucks for us to go, so if a 2 year old isn't going to like it, we can find other things to do. One of my wife's friends went and my wife is convinced we shouldn't go this year, so we probably wont. But maybe next year. Just not really sure what the entertainment level is.
I mean the boobs in those pics look cool, but I don't think he's quite into that yet. And there's cheaper ways to look at boobs

we've been going to the one in Hammond since I was a kid
assuming the performers are similar most of the ones for kiddos are pretty funny, jugglers and such. just avoid the bars and other adult areas
if the weather is nice it's a lot of fun but your wallet will be much lighter when you leave

It's very cool. Terrible horrific traffic, kinda expensive. Very big and very crowded. Honestly it's probably not worth the hassle to take a 2 yr old. Wait til he's a little older.

I actually had more fun at the Hammond one bc I went during a Saints game and it wasn't crowded at all. The Texas one is about three times the size. Similar things, just bigger scale.

Enjoy the scurvy and bubonic plague.

Used to go every year. It's fun, interesting scenery. Prob not worth it for a 2 yr old.

Plan accordingly. NOTHING happens in Plantersville, except this. EVER!!! So the roads are made for the other 320 days of the year.
You're right about nothing happening in Plantersville but Plantersville is about 8 miles north. the festival is in Todd Mission. You need to know the back way of Riley Road or FM302. Avoid Magnolia way if you can.
Freaks, all of em.

It's a lot of fun. Kids loved it. We went twice when we loved in the Woodlands. Stay for the firework show.

Trash fest. One step above contraband days.

I was a little disappointed in the lack of battle-ready swords. Sure, you can buy a fancy looking sword. But they're for display only and will break in the shield wall. A real sword needs some flexibility. We all have to be ready for the next Hastings or Towton.
