It amazes me that people think that ending terrorism for good is a realistic option. You certainly aren't going to stop self radicalization.

Also, while I heavily criticize the intelligence community for gathering information on all american citizens. I think it says a lot that since 9/11 they have been able to limit the number of Americans killed by foreign terrorist organizations to roughly 6,000 lives.

Stop the publicity that comes with the associated acts. The media immortalizes the terrorists by talking about them for days on end. With every act comes more power for these nutjobs. Heightened security, money spent by our government, exposure, fear, propaganda. Their lives become more valuable in their deaths than they would ever be in life. Maybe limit media exposure on acts of terror? Like almost every problem in this country, you have to take a bandaid from one part of the body to patch another.
