NBD.

I learned all about termite damage after I went through a huge mess with a building that was under contract with a local company that failed to do a good job.

It sounds like you've found someone that is paying attention.

For my house they would have had to put a hole in the living room wall in plain site. Nope. frick that noise.

A smart person can treat an area like that with a very small hole the size of a receptacle and then close the hole with an old work box and a blank receptacle plate or a dummy receptacle.

It wouldn't look any different than any other receptacle in that room and I assume you have receptacles in the room.

Your house, your choice, but there is more than one way to skin a cat. And choosing not to treat the area doesn't make you smart, just stubborn...

While that may or may not be effective, that wouldn't pass inspection.


At least they didn't drill a hole through your ceramic tile. That one is almost always waived, but for some reason, sometimes it's not.
