a coworker of mine has the same problem...he recently bought a camper and put it in the yard of his new house...that way he has a place to live, he is able to keep an eye on his builders, and when it is over, he will have a camper for recreation...

Rent one of those climate controlled storage units to store your stuff. Sleep in you own bed at night in the comfort of your on storage unit. Maybe get some rabbit ears for the TV

Thinking a little out the box if nobody has mentioned this. Try Air BnB It's a site for people to rent out space to traveler. Anything from a room in their house, to the entire house and some guy has his boat on there. I bet they would cut you a deal for long term.
