yea got a couple good restaurants, I suggest you go to LC though to eat and have a drink.

If you think you will be going out to get a drink more the two or three times a week, you might want to look at the one of the hotels near ldl on prien lake rd. wingate would be the the easiest on and off the interstate. wouldn't be more then 5-8 min further then the sulphur hotels but much much closer to ldl, darrells, golden nugget(when it opens), and not far from other places. Also much better restaurants like 121, mazens, tony pizza, harlaquins.

places you need to go for sure while here is darrells (special, surf and turf, shrimp or sausage is what you need to get, or try them all while here). Also should try Lunas downtown either on a friday or saturday. Obs & Lunas would be a decent place to go out at.

im sure others can put more stuff. Im around your age but i am married with kids so I dont go out a ton. Oh and bring golf clubs, fishing gear, hunting gear if you are into those kinds of things. All are great here.

Parents lived there in the mid-50s. The old man took a transfer to a position in WEST VIRGINIA to get out of there.

(Union Carbide)

I have never heard anyone say they were from there or that they wanted to go there for any reason.

That's all I got.

Good luck. Sounds like you'll need it.

My Sister in law is from there. Honestly, Lake Charles is your best bet for things to do. About 25 minutes away. Orange doesn't have much

Sulphur and Lake Charles are practically the same place. It'll take like ten minutes to get from Sulphur to anywhere in Lake Charles. There are plenty of fast food, restaurants, grocery store, etc. on that first Sulphur exit.
All the girls in Sulphur are white trash whores, so you should be fine.

I don't need all of them to be. Just enough of them.

I like my women just a little on the trashy side

(I really don't, but...when in Rome...)

I was born there '49 but my parents were from Vinton. I once had a lot of family on the La. side of the Sabine.

I have never gotten into looking into the town. I just wanted to address the part about never hearing about people coming from there.

I just came back from Orange. One of my workers got in a wreck there this evening and I had to go check on him.

It's a quite town and boring as frick. It's only 15-20 minutes to Beaumont and 30-45'ish to Sulphur/Lake Chuck so there's that.

It also has horrible to no cell service when you get on the North side of Orange by Deweyville.

Right. The KKK is 5 minutes up the road in Vidor.

You people are getting Orange and Vidor mixed up.

Orange has its share of ghetto areas if you get on the wrong side of it.

Vidor is known for the KKK and Jasper is where James Byrd was murdered by dragging.

Orange, Beaumont, and Port Arthur are all full of minorities.

There used to be big signs on the interstate as you drove through Vidor right?

Yep

Vidor residents also call the part of town where most minorities live their "zoo"

Just a racist place

Damn the signs I remember as a kid were homemade painted signs, but that's the case they were talking about. And they were every few feet.
