Teen missing since 2009 body found, killer is arrested

The man charged with killing the teen is Raymond Moody, 62, who has a rap sheet that stretches back to 1983. He was arrested May 4 on an obstruction charge and then hit with other counts after investigators dug up Brittanee’s body in Harmony Township, about 40 miles from where she was last seen. Authorities said they learned of the possible burial site on April 26 and found the remains on a private, gated property on May 11. The victim was identified through dental records and then DNA.
Moody spent two decades in prison for the sexual assault of a child and was released in 2004.
In 2012, he was publicly named as a person of interest after investigators searched a hotel room he had stayed in around the time Brittanee disappeared during her spring break adventure three years earlier.

I read this earlier and audibly gasped...I truly thought she would never be found.

I don’t understand why we don’t just shoot sex offenders. You know a bullet would solve a lot of our problems. We let these fricks out but we know they are highly likely to repeat, from sex offenders to murderers. It’s cheap and quick, won’t have to spend a lot of tax payer dollars other than the required trial.

At the very least, why are they ever released. Sexual assault of a child should be a life sentence if not a death sentence. We are soft on crime in the US and unfortunately getting softer. I'd support the death penalty for armed robbery, car jacking, equivalent crimes, etc.. why the frick not? Society doesn't need these people as we have plenty of people who don't do that stupid shite. Knowing your arse would get killed for some of that shite would be a better deterence from committing the crime in the first place.

Why not cut their parts off and make them servants. They used to do that back in the day.
I also say we bring back the cut your hand off if you get caught stealing but apparently I’m too barbaric.
