Maybe the next generation of teachers won't pat themselves on the back quite as hard on social media.

Are your kids getting in the way of your meth making? You need the school to provide some daycare services so you can make a living?

So let’s digest that fact all teachers were off March April May and June July minus some
Commas. All while getting Labor Day , fall break , Thanksgiving and Xmas off, all while getting paid and telling us how Hard they have been working.

I’ve got some young kids in school, and their teachers have been working stupid hours this year. They had to learn completely new technologies with zero training. The only reason my kids are back in school now is because their teachers said, “frick the risk; I want want to be back in the classroom.”

But go ahead and treat them like they are one monolithic group if it makes your feel better. It’s easier to process the world when you group people like that. Less thought involved.

Teachers are the reason you are able to read and write. They are are reason you were able to type out that message. I’d hardly say they are “overrated.” I know I don’t want to have to educate my own children.

They make less than they should because they don’t generate direct business value. They knew that when the signed up, and they will always be underpaid.

Let's break this ignorance down, shall we?

When you say "off" do you mean not working or do you mean not in classrooms? The teachers I know were still working in March, April, & May creating online classrooms & lessons, administering tests, & grading assignments so I'm not sure what you mean here.

A teacher's salary is prorated by the quantity of days they are contracted for. Most teachers are contractually obligated to work 190 days in the school year. Some districts started the school year late & have adjusted their school calendars to account for this change.
