Unsure what England you live in, but the England I live in, there are zero commercials for drugs.

I’m guessing you can’t transfer the license to a new set.
It's for the whole household. You only need to click "I have a TV license" and it goes away. It's super silly. I know a few people that don't pay the license fee. They get a few letters in the mail saying "someone will come to your house on xxx day to verify the household" and no one ever shows up. If they do show up, you aren't required to allow them in your house. It's really silly.

Also in England. When you sure someone and they don't pay, there version of bail bondsman break into your house and take your stuff until the debt is satisfied.
I saw one where a couple split up and the woman said the man owed her £5,000. So the bailifs as they are called, went to his new house and stole his new girlfriends TV. Some luxury purses and some computers.
The Bill of Rights made much more sense after seeing that. Thank God for our founding fathers.

Lived in England as a kid 40 years ago. It was thing then, but it was obviously a much smaller fee. In those days they actually had vans that would drive around with “sniffers” of some sort and could tell if you were using a tv. They would in fact enforce the tax and if I recall correctly would confiscate your TV if you hadn’t paid the tax.

That can be a very entertaining show but sometimes it is just really sad.
