You rode the bus after you were old enough to have a driver's license? Or friends with DL?

Haha you and your friends, if you had any, were poor.

Yeah, unfortunately I seemed to have struck a lot of nerves

I know the bus can be a frightening place for a lot of kids

Miss Elaine, Bus 65. 100lb 55 year old woman. She was the boss.
We didn't stand up on the bus. We didn't get too loud. We were waiting by the street, regardless of the weather, when she passed or she wasn't stopping.
It was rather quiet on our bus for the most part. ANd when the public school kids started riding with us, she set them straight as well.

Her threat was always that she just wouldn't let us ride and make our parents bring us. Well when you have to explain to your dad that he has to bring you to school b/c you were acting up on the bus, assuming you have a parent that actually is a parent and not your cool friend, then you did what was needed to not get kicked off the bus.
Or you rode your bike to school like I started doing in 5th grade.

The same guy who got me to write graffiti on the bus wall was pretty tall. As he exited at his house he would slap the door on his way off and act as if he hit his head on the bulkhead. His books would go flying and he would fall out in the ditch. Bus driver would shake his head, close the door and drive away.

I walked home so I almost never rode the bus unless I was going to a friend's house. But, this one time the bus driver passed my stop by like 100 feet and said she had to keep going and for me to wait until everyone was off. So yeah my one bus driver was an a-hole

I shite all over myself on the bus ride home in third grade. Stomach virus had set in and no other symptoms had started. Luckily, we were only about a half mile from my stop when it happened, and no permanent damage was done.

Also, I saw more cruel, sadistic shite done to younger kids by older kids on a school bus than I've seen any sort of mean behavior done to anyone, anywhere else, in my life. I was on the receiving end of it a few times, so I swore to myself to never do anything like that to other kids when I got older.

We never did anything crazy but I vividly remember standing at the bus stop and watching a bus that wasn't ours blast a dog that ran out in front of it.

My grandpa told us a story of how they were riding the bus home one day, and a guy on a bike happened to ride by. He never moved off the road so when the bus drove passed him, my grandpas friend reached out and slapped him in the back of the head. His arm ricocheted off the bikers head and his elbow hit the iron window frame, breaking his elbow

All my friends would finger chicks in the back seats and then let each other smell the fingers. No chicks let me so I'd finger my butt and let everyone smell it.

One of our bus drivers hit the side of a bridge while making a turn and had the bus go up on two wheels then come back down. I was lying down on the seat and went airborne. My head hit the glass and cracked it. I got a concussion and my body was bruised up from coming down on the metal seat frame because the cushion came off.

For a time after I always thought damn this bitch almost killed me until one day when she let me off at my stop. I was walking from the passenger side to drivers side and about cross into the opposite lane when she started honking and yelling. I was startled and stopped midstep as a car flew by from behind the bus barely missing me.

I remember giving her one of these

and being cool with her from then on
