Join a club, any club.
Get a 4.0. It won't get easier than your first year.
Be adventurous. Go outside of your bubble a bit and meet people you never thought you'd be compatible with.

Don't schedule any classes before 10 or 11.
Go to class, it makes it easier to do well. I thought it was smart to schedule all morning classes, so I would be done by noon. I ended up missing most of my classes freshman year and lost TOPS. I eventually got TOPS back sophmore year, but my GPA was already toast for being able to apply to Vet school.
You can still party and have fun, but like I said as long as you make it to class it is a lot easier. I probably drank more when I went to nursing school, than I did when I got my first degree from LSU. There was mandatory attendance in nursing school, so I did much better.
I agree with an earlier poster suggesting working in a restaurant. It'll be the most money you can make as a college student, plus plenty of poon and partying to be had.

What are some tips that would be beneficial to any Freshmen? Also I would like to hear some regrets about your Freshmen year. Lets hear it!
FRESHMAN
Why plural?
Why capitalized?
You may want to take English again. That may be beneficial to you.

Print out your construction applications already for when you drink your way out of your financial aid in your first year

1) LSU is full of whores. Full of them. Standing in front of Miller at 2:15am after free drink night will get you laid 100%
2) Wear a condom. No-one wants to father a kid with a whore.

Going Greek is a good way to meet people. Even if you don't want to join one, just go to all the recruiting events and then bail.
There was some fraternity that had a shite ton of Lafayette people in it, Sig Ep?
