Are you suggesting that people would still choose synthetic if real weed was legal? You must be high.

To be fair, there are still some idiots who would smoke synthetic weed regardless of whether weed were legal or not. But I agree that the number would be way lower.

a very dumb set of compounds to mix together for no real good reason

Sounds like synthetic weed to me. And FTR, I don't care if weed is legal or not.

But to blame these 24 people being in the hospital on the criminality of weed strips away their personal responsibility and choices they made to smoke a compound created by the Chinese to make a buck off of American idiots. Of course, the compound wasn't put through rigorous testing or trials because they don't give a frick.

No, I'm suggesting that because weed is illegal, smoking that shite is not the only option you have. You can: a) buy illegal weed or b) not smoke anything or c) smoke synthetic and maybe die (if it's that important to you).

You're comparing a lab-altered molecule that does exactly what it's supposed to do to drinking bleach and acetone to get drunk as a 14 year old?

Yes, personal responsibility should be viewed as a real thing. Yes, they're fools for doing it. But that's a pretty bad comparison at best. And also a story that never happened.

Of course it never happened. Don't get hung up on the random items I suggested.

The point was that to blame the use, abuse or OD of synthetic weed is because marijuana is illegal totally eliminates personal responsibility.

I'll give you a better analogy. There are stories of WWII Sailors who continued to drink torpedo fuel even after the Navy added methanol causing them to go blind because they didn't have access to booze. There was another option available...suck it up and don't drink.

On a side note, are you still a "Hopeful Doc" or did you finish? Sounds like you did.

I agree. This one is much better. I like it and agree with your sentiment.

And I'll graduate in a couple of weeks and start residency in July.

Best wishes and a truly noble profession...as long as you don't become a sleaze bag plastic surgeon. But then you'll be OT rich X 1000 so who would care?

I appreciate it, bud. And I'm doing about the opposite of plastic surgery. Low-dollar, high-hour primary care in a traditional practice with tons of call.

And many things that it isn't, 1 time using this crap and you could be saying hello to long term anxiety issues putting you on heavy medication.
