I'm not sure if they are necessary even then. Extremely bulky and don't perform that much better (arguably less).

If someone gave you a Yeti for free, would you use it?

Yes, dumb question.

The question should be, "Would I pay $400 for an ice chest?"

Answer - frick no!!!!

My work just gave away two of them

The difference is a Yeti is a lifetime cooler.
An igloo is what I bring tailgating in case I forget it.
If you are poor look for Yeti's on the side of the interstate. Might have a scratch or two.

No, not a dumb question. If you would use it if free, then the entire issue is price.

It's not a redneck thing or inferior product or great marketing. It is simply an overpriced product.

Unless you are going offshore for days or hunting for days and won't have access to ice you don't need one.

I bought one off a guy needing money for $50. Will keep ice for 4-5 days. And it's bear proof, if'n you're ever in bear country camping.i guess. But $50 was a deal.

I have never once seen a Yeti sticker. I haven't even ever heard of Yetis except on here. Same with Costa sunglasses, I have never seen a pair.

Obviously you don't live in BR or south Louisiana....

One of my goals in life is to produce some overpriced product that dupps some subculture into believing they cant be cool without it, at least a sticker that will make it on to thier vehicle.

Another hater of the redneck.

Just admit you are poor and jelly and move along with your igloo.

It's like Under Armour, Affliction, Fubu, or any other brand directed at a specific audience. Rednecks have to compare their Icechests like black people compare their rims. They are ignorant but know they need it. Some just get stickers so people know just how cold they like their coldbeer (one word to them). Kinda like people with Salt Life stickers wanting people to know their lifestyle. It's all just silly.

I'll keep my igloo and be just fine. Hopefully a bear won't get into it.

I agree with the offshore fishing comment. If your out there for a few days then yes a yeti or K2 is worth the coin. I've been in the woods and on the water my whole life but refuse to pay that much for a cooler! My igloo does the trick. Oh and as for the redneck status thing, naaa. I work in the OF and see south la boys having pisssing contests about their coolers way to often. So, just this once, it's not only a dumb redneck thing! Ha
