You're really overthinking this and ascribing a false sense of self superiority to yourself over not using this term. I've used and heard it used just about all my life. It's just another term, a nickname. Nothing more, nothing less. Its no different than when come one calls a motorcycle a "bike", "scoot", "scooter", or "sled".

As for those who use the term "cage" and "cager" not being able to afford both a bike and a vehicle, I own a Harley Davidson Ultra Classic ElectraGlide And a Toyota Tundra CrewMax And a Chevy Tahoe. All are well maintained and paid for.

The Russian road rage fail compilation was funnier.

What ever happened to the Russians and their awesome internet videos?

I would assume the longer article on the arrest would mention if the two people on the motorcycle had a gun.

Also, given the fact that bikers seem to be the only group that regular stands up to SJW bullies and fake protestors, I'll show some respect.

I've seen this mentioned more than once here. I didn't notice a gun but I guess it's possible.

Did not notice it when I saw it the first time, but yes, it looks like there was a silver finish automatic pistol on the ground after the car ran over the motorcycle.

Those bikes have a lot of chrome on them, there were other parts falling around that area as well. Could easily be some chrome flair crap part that broke off easily as it was getting hit and run over by a car.

Complete bullshite... Cage is used by everyone in the motorcycle community, even us snobby blue koolaid drinkers. At the track on track days, at pro level events, sitting at local bench at deals gap during all seasons, trade shows, Harley gatherings, BMWMOA gatherings, by those dirty orange lovers, dirt tracks, dirt trails, mini moto events, by rich riders and poor. You are just trying hard to make fun of Darth. I like to do it a lot too, but it's standard jargon for motorcyclists.

This

More than likely the shiny thing on the ground was the kickstand or a foot rest that was broken off as the crazy cager ran over that side of the bike.

Hope nature boy enjoys his time as someone's beyotch in the jail awaiting his upcoming prison time.

Bump for update on what started the whole confrontation. Apparently the guy in the car was driving like an idiot and cut off a group of bikes. One of the bikers said something to him at the red light and that's when the guy in the car went apeshit.

quote:

Thirty-one-year-old Robert Paul Vance, who is being described as an habitual traffic offender, turned a verbal dispute with 46-year-old Joseph Calderazzo into a couple of felony charges. The incident occurred in heavy traffic on Highway 41 in Lutz, Florida about 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Vance cut off a pack of motorcycles returning from the Florida National Cemetery in Sumter County northeast of Tampa. At a red light, Calderazzo confronted Vance about his erratic driving. Vance backed up and drove into and over Calderazzo’s bike. Apparently, Vance was sober.

A passing motorist named Abraham Garcia, filmed the incident on his smart phone and posted the video to his Facebook page where it has gone viral. Garcia told WFTS, “The guy driving the car was driving recklessly, like crazy out of control…I saw him almost run one of the bikers over, like off the side of the road. So, then the bikers caught up to him at a red light and words started exchanging, and then the guy went complete psychopath.”
