Sounds like you have a decent head on your shoulders. No matter who is right or wrong, one person has a serious physical advantage over the other in a bike-car altercation.

I've been riding for over 30 years. Just this morning I rode my Harely into B'ham where I work. one thing I came to understand a long time ago is (1) there's nothing worth dying over on the highway and (2) when it comes to a pissing match between a cage and a bike, the cage will always win.

Like I said before, if someone does something stupid on the road, no matter how stupid, you just shake your head and go on about your day.

It's ok to say car, and it's even quicker to type. You don't have to try that hard.

It's ok to read "cage", understand what I'm talking about, move on, and not try to be a dick about it. You don't have to try that hard.

Gonna have to defend him here, it's normal jargon for motorcyclists. Its like any slang you get use to saying in a group. TD has a ton of that where other words are easier to say or type.

He doesn't care. He thinks it makes him look cool and edgy to be a dick just because I used a term that comes as natural to me as calling it a car or auto.

I have no idea. All I've seen is the short clip in the OP. I've seen this story mentioned on FB over the weekend but didn't click on it to get the details. Either way, no matter what had happened it's not worth killing or being being killed.

Did not notice it when I saw it the first time, but yes, it looks like there was a silver finish automatic pistol on the ground after the car ran over the motorcycle.

Just found this link to a story on what happened...

quote:

LUTZ, Fla. (WFLA) – A 31-year-old Land O’ Lakes man is facing a variety of charges following a serious crash Monday near the intersection of US 41 and County Line Road in Lutz.

Robert Vance is being held without bond at the Pasco County Jail. He is facing one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, one count of leaving the scene of a crash involving injury and one count of operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. Florida Highway Patrol says Vance is classified as a habitual traffic offender.

Witnesses say Vance drove his vehicle over a motorcycle carrying a man and woman before fleeing.

Just moments before the incident, the suspect exchanged words with the driver of the motorcycle – identified as Joseph Philipp Calderazzo – and his passenger, Melanie Ann Milinkovich.

One witness shot video on his cellphone that clearly shows Calderazzo and Milinkovich being knocked from the motorcycle as Vance drives into it.

Abe Garcia shared the video with News Channel 8. He says the people on the bikes are veterans and for this incident to happen on Memorial Day is a shame.

Fortunately the motorcyclists were not seriously injured, suffering a few minor scrapes and bruises, and were treated at the scene.

Vance has an extensive criminal history that includes two stints in state prison. He’s been convicted previously on drug, burglary and felony traffic charges out of Brevard County.

Additional charges may be filed against Vance as the investigation into Monday’s crash continues.

This is the guy...

LINK

Still does not give any indication of what lead to the confrontation though.

That's certainly one way to settle a disagreement. Not the best way but A way.

As a guy who has been a bike enthusiast all my life, I still can't help but laugh at my kid when he calls car drivers "cagers" - and then I laugh even harder when there's a torrential downpour outside and all he has is a bike. Cager is a try-hard term for people who generally can't afford both a bike and a real vehicle.

Yeah, she wasn't half bad, although you could kick a football between her two front teeth.

And that date was cringe worthy. I almost had to turn it off because I was so embarrassed for the dude.
