stupid handy man question

i feel stupid asking, but if i have hose and a nozzle attached to my outdoor faucet, does it matter if i leave it on or not? like if i forget to turn off the water at the faucet, will my water bill go up?

Bill won't go up if all the gaskets are working fine and are tightened properly and there are no other leaks. Best to turn it off to be certain.

As long as it doesn't leak, your water bill will not go up. Will not hurt anything.

I find that when I do that the hose usually bursts....so in that case the water bill does go up. If the hose does not burst, then bill would not go up.
