This is one of my pet peeves. They will cross the double solid white line and cut you off. I think I read somewhere that this isn't illegal, just discouraged. Why not just make it illegal?

The trucker is a dick and was in the left lane but that women driver is an idiot. Putting on your blinker does not give you the right to change lanes.

He accelerated into the car in order to cut her off. I guess you're right that he at least tried to swerve, however If he just releases his foot a little from the gas pedal she can merge and they both go about their day.

They often get in the left lane (going 65) near on ramps, then cars try to pass them on the right...which often times doesn't work out. So now, the truck is stuck in the left lane going 65 because it can't get back over and it impedes traffic. I see it daily.
I'm not arguing he is in the wrong and she isn't at all.

Whether the truck should have been in the left lane or not is irrelevant to the issue of the wreck. He was in the lane and has no legal responsibility to slow down and let her in regardless of her blinker. Even if he's being a dick by speeding up, he has no obligation to let her in just because she puts her blinker on.
A blinker isn't there to say "Hey motherfricker, this is what I'm doing and frick you if you don't like it", it's there to say "this is my intent".
As the driver changing lanes it's her responsibility to make sure she has enough room to do so. She didn't. She gambled that she could force her way in just so she wouldn't have to wait behind the other, slower 18-wheeler. She lost. Maybe she'll learn a lesson from this.

Lots of shitty driving in that video, but the girl is more at fault. It's one thing to pass a semi dinking around in the left lane, and even then you'd better do it fast and with lots of room to spare. This chick tried to squeeze into a small spot that was about to get a lot smaller. The semi wasn't really holding up traffic, there was a line of cars not going anywhere just ahead in the left lane. This is why I hate driving on 2 lane interstates.

This is true. And evidenced by my accident that I described above. I was passing the semi on the right (I needed to exit right at a split). He apparently didn't see me and made a lane change into my back bumper, spun me in front of him, and pushed me down the expressway. He got a ticket, I got nothing and about $3,000 more for my car than I was planning on getting in trade because my agent allowed me to have it totaled

He may have been empty, or not even hauling a trailer. At 65-70mph it's not hard to work up a little extra speed if you're not hauling a load (especially when moving downhill, which I think they were when he seemed to speed up).

Not gonna say he was right or wrong but when I drove a truck, you move over when you have the chance.
Cars do not want to let you in front of them in the left (passing) lane, regardless of that truck going 10 mph slower in front of you.
So when you do move over after finding a gap, many cars try to take advantage of how early you moved over and pass you on the right like in the video.
