What part of Metairie? It's probably a busted waterline. Those lines are often directly underneath the street panels. They claim it's from settlement, but I think it was shoddy original work. But it could be a water service connection from a neighbor's house. They can occasionally get loose if you're on a street with heavy traffic.

Yeah baw, my skreet is all flooded into my yard. Can't go to class because I'm borrowing my little sister's car today. My Silveraydo would be all up in that shite running bout 75. Copy that?

My street normally floods before anywhere else around here because there is only one drain for the whole block, and that drain drains the block and Vets at the same time

Weather alert: A flood advisory has been issued until 12:30 p.m. for New Orleans and northern Jefferson Parish. Another 1-2 inches of rain is expected.

I just drove through Bucktown and it's extremely bad in some areas. Bad enough that cars were stalled.

Just in old Metry and it's a mess. Side streets are all flooded and I had to walk in about a foot of water to get to my car. Cars are stalled out all over the place.

Metairie is in Jefferson, not Orleans....

I live near Rummel, It's flooded all up and down Severn and N Arnoult...

Some of those Rummel kids are lucky Momma and Daddy bought them those 60K+ 4x4's...

I just saw some truck nuts floating down the street. It's a sad day in Louisiana.
