Some major pucker time for the big island of Hawaii though... So crazy to see two major storms coming at them back to back.

madeline is forecasted to be a weak 1 and missing, lester going north. but that's all based on diffusionless modeling.

This thing looks a mess. All sorts of outflow boundaries. Looks like the LLC and mid level still aren't stacked. Hard to believe it's getting its act together anytime soon.

yeah the convection is falling apart. It was booming this morning.. I thought it might become a strong tropical storm today.. but it'll be lucky if it even gets named. Recon found 34 knots so far though, so they might find enough to upgrade.

Yep, looking at it, it does look to be moving N N/E. Also, mid level and upper levels are starting to move over towards lower center.

That ain't good.

No I said the storm would move closer to the AL/FL border than consensus.

All chairs and tables must be folded. Authorities have yet to issue tie down ordinance under the recent Martial Law request that was sent to the governor minutes ago.

GEFS and Euro EPS are in pretty good agreement that landfall could be as far west as the Panama City, Beach down to Ft. St. Joe area. Euro EPS is a bit west of the GEFS:

How many days have we been following this little blob of rain showers? I've never seen anything like this. It won't go away but it wont do anything.

John Hope is rolling in his grave. He would have just been like, "we are watching an area of disturbed weather moving towards the Gulf" and left it at that.
