Yep.
And she neglects to post the posters immediately asking WTF is wrong with you and that tone that permeated the whole thread.

In these types of situations?? Like when a convicted felon with a gun in his pocket is wrestling with police? Looks like the CJ system is working how it should. Maybe one of the officers woulda ended up like deputy Anderson had they not acted swiftly and he was able to get the gun out...ignorant

right its extremely easy to sit back, watch it on tape, and say well that didn't have to happen. If you're armed and you resist, they don't have the benefit of operating in hindsight.

Now you know facts and context can't get in the way of a good emotional post when you're trying to sway a conversation

Alright. Just wanted to ring that up. Let's stop derailing the thread now and get back to the matter at hand. Everyone knows she's BSC

In my opinion, shouldn't the family, the Mayor and anyone else upset at this news be upset with the actual people who published the news? Just because the advocate or WAFB or whoever received a "tip" or leaked info, it doesn't mean they had to report it. Did the Advocate or WAFB call the family before posting it online? Or were they more worried about breaking the news first than they were about the family's feelings? Their anger is aimed in the wrong direction. But, that is my opinion.
The bottom line is this: Nothing outside of a decision that the DOJ planed to not only indict the officers, but skip a trial all together and lock them away for life while also giving every member of Sterling's extended family at six figure monetary settlement would have been "acceptable". They were/are going to be angry at the DOJ, Trump, etc. anyway. Quit trying to rationalize what/who they should be angry at. It's an exercise in futility.

Several community leaders and I went to visit with Sandra Sterling and watched as she wept and asked questions about why this was handled in this manner. While we were there, Governor John Bel Edwards called, Congressman Cedric Richmond called, but not a single person from the Trump administration, the people who actually have answers to give this family called. There are people in leadership who have shown their compassion, but our nation has disrespected this family with it’s handling of this sensitive information.
It was Obama calling all of these people that has lead to this bullshite situation.
Compassion my arse.
I'm sorry your POS criminal son/nephew/grandson made a stupid fricking decision and ended up dead. But the DOJ's job is to determine whether his civil rights were violated. They were not. It's not the AG's job, or the President's, to console you because of his retarded life choice.

One day, we can all look back on this fondly and tell our grandkids about the Great Cajun Counter-insurgency of 2017. Maybe they'll erect a statue.

If the federal government decides not to bring charges against the officers, Louisiana has the option of bringing charges of its own.
Would this even happen? I mean why would the state AG pursue charges if the US AG did not?

And apparently this is a previous encounter with police. I had not heard about this until last night. Wonder why the media didn't cover it??????
quote:
Sterling put officers in the exact same situation in 2009 and he was sent to prison for a number of years following that incident. The media rarely mentions it and it's pathetic. In that incident, someone reported that he pulled a gun on them, the officer arrived and questioned if he had a gun, he refused to answer the cop, the cop tried to pat him down and he started fighting him. While they were wrestling on the ground a gun fell out of Sterling's waistband. Another officer arrived to help and he kept fighting both of them, but the other officer got his gun and they eventually arrested him. This guy was no gentle giant and he was fortunate to live as long as he did if you look at his violent and scary criminal history. He pressed his luck one too many times.

Yep.
And now gravy and his people are blaming Trump for this. Lol. It's almost comical how predictable he is.
