I have a serious question here.

So, it's going to be mostly black people that are mad and out protesting this decision right? I hear all the time that they don't like to be grouped together in one group(community) yet how many of them are directly connected to the Sterling family and why are they upset. Upset enough to go out and protest?

A white guy gets killed by police and I don't know him, I'm at the most WTF-ing but i'm not losing any sleep or protesting anything.

At 12:35 a.m., at 2112 North Foster Drive, in the parking lot of Triple S Food Mart, Sterling was detained by Baton Rouge Police Department officers. This came after an anonymous caller reported that a man believed to be Sterling was threatening him and waving a handgun while in the process of selling CDs. The officers tased Sterling,[10][11] then forced the heavy-set man to the hood of a sedan and then to the ground. Sterling was pinned to the ground by both officers, one kneeling on his chest and the other on his thigh, both attempting to control his arms.[10] One officer exclaimed, "He's got a gun! Gun!" One of the officers yelled, "If you fricking move, I swear to God!" Then Salamoni was heard on the video saying, "Lake, he's going for the gun!" One of the officers aimed his gun at Sterling's body, then three gunshots were heard. The camera panned away just before the camera panned back and three more gunshots were heard. The police officer sitting on Sterling's chest was not in the picture and the other officer who drew the gun, was about 3 feet (0.91 m) away. His gun was pointed on Sterling, who had a gunshot wound in his chest.[12] According to witness Abdullah Muflahi, the officers then retrieved a firearm from Sterling's pocket.[10] The officers then radioed for Emergency Medical Services.[6]

i don't see why they are upset myself

RA'd for sticky. About time we heard some actual information. I will say this, I think it is fricked up that the family wasn't notified that an announcement was imminent and instead had to find out via the media due it being leaked. Yes, I understand that's how leaked information works but still, they should have in some form or fashion given those directly involved a heads up.

Just my opinion.

So what is it?
Group together as a community or nah?

Or do they just do that when it's convenient?

White people don't rally around criminals

If Ronnie from the trailer park gets in a fight with cops and dies, we think, "wow, what an idiot" and move on with our day.

The family, the actual officers in question, local officials, TD admins, all these people should have been given time to prepare. This was done poorly.

They are being conned by the fame whoring shysters who feel the need to dictate their actions. Anyone who doesn't toe the line is ostracized and ridiculed, most often by community "leaders".

Ex: That black WAFB reporter that didn't side with Gravy 100%.

Alton Sterling decision will be released at 11 a.m. at U.S. District Court in Baton Rouge

Looks like they timed the release to coincide with a rainy day..... maybe that is why they didn't release yesterday

I'm not even talking about the criminal aspect of this. I'm talking what if an innocent white man that you did not know got killed by the police, you'd be a little upset about it but would you attempt to insert yourself into the situation by actively protesting?

So we're supposed to believe you want a real answer and not just an answer that will allow you to continue your diatribe?

Never mind. I see you've already started up again.
