No...I said my piece and I'm out.

Sad and tragic case all the way around. Not much more to say. Seen these things one to many times. The path to justice isn't necessarily straight and narrow.

Change and reform will slowly come to our criminal justice system. I have a deep belief in charge. Just gotta be patient. Not wasting anyone energy over this. I hope all families involved find healing, forgiveness and redemption.

Looks like they timed the release to coincide with a rainy day..... maybe that is why they didn't release yesterday

As ridiculous as it sounds, I was told they didn't announce yesterday because the guy in charge of getting the 400 barricades to go around the courthouse didn't order them in time and they hadn't arrived yet. Seeing as they just put them up over night, there seems to be some truth to that. Between that and the leaks, this whole thing is a clown show.

Not all are. In fact, many of the protesters are driven by white guilt. I work with quite a few blacks who want nothing to do with the Sterling protests/arguments. They just want to get to work and back home safely without major interruption.

Agreed. Hopefully the officer and their families can move past the bullshite they've been put through for doing their job. All because some chomo career criminal tried to pull a gun.

So you think the cops deserve redemption? That's awesome.

It's a shame it has taken this long to clear these officers when they should have been cleared the second the tape surfaced.

CNN doesn't even seem to be covering it. Maybe this will just go unnoticed by the national press and discourage those looking for their fifteen minutes.

Adams and DeCuir said they will seek the materials of the investigation -- including video and audio from the night Sterling was killed -- before it is turned over to Landry.

Adams, DeCuir and the attorneys for Sterling's other children - Sterling has children from two different women who have different legal teams - are likely waiting to file lawsuits until the federal decision is officially announced. Much of the information included in any federal report that might be released might be used against the officers in their civil cases.

Civil lawsuits have an even lower threshold than the criminal charges that Landry could bring on behalf of the state. But civil cases must be filed before July 5, the first anniversary of Sterling's death.

Sorry but I'll never look at shooting someone as transactional as that. I think that's a huge problem and a part of the militarization of our PDs.

"Doing there job"? Sheesh thats just inhumane

Sad and tragic but they will walk away with their lives, and won't have to face a jury of their peers.

Half glass full I guess.

A situation where all released evidence thus far has been an armed felon was tussling with police after multiple attempts to get him to comply, he then continues to fight, appears to reach for the pocket where his gun is, police shout gun and tell him to stop, stop don't move, he continues, and just as in life Mr Sterling blew multiple chances to avoid a situation where there are no winners.

I understand you are a giant troll, I get it, but this one can only be blamed on one man. The felon with the gun who threatened someone, and then didn't comply with police once they arrived. He was going to be going away for a long time given his rap sheet, so he didn't think he had a choice. He did, and just like every decision that led to his lengthy rap sheet and being a felon and child rapist, he chose poorly.

There is self accountability, unfortunately that is something Mr Sterling had never learned. If the only evidence you have for this jaded judicial system is white cop and black perp, and you choose to disregard everything showing that in fact this was a justified shooting that could have been prevented. Then acknowledge you only care about color and not facts once and for all, because it's painfully obvious when you try to connect the other officer involved shootings that you don't gaf about the facts.

Disagree. Whether intentional or not, the news got out yesterday with very limited fan fare. Today it will be made formally right in the middle of the work week and during final exams, and coinciding with a severe storm.

This is a best case scenario. The Mkke Brown decision was known for a week, they set an announcement time a few days down the line and allowed protesters and out of town agitators to gather.

I applaud the way this has been handled.
