Starting Insanity on Tuesday

I'm so fricked. I've done one day of it before, and I almost died, and I'm one of those people who looks to be in good shape.
UPDATE: So I mentioned that I look like I'm in good shape. I've gained 12 pounds in two weeks doing this. I've been eating healthy, and I think I look better than when I started. I was just shocked to see that I had gained so much weight. But like I said, it's not bad weight.

That's why I'm doing it. It is literally impossible not to get in phenomenal shape if you go through the 60 days.

They don't call it insanity for nothing. shite sucks

I much prefer Susan Powter's "Stop the Insanity" program.

Be careful swagger, the OT doesn't take kindly to acts of fitness.
Edit, I see 777 already beat me to it.

Did it once all the way through. Just wanted to get in good shape and not lose weight.
By the time I was almost done I was requiring 4000 calories a day just to maintain and I still lost weight.
It's a very effective program if you can stick with it.

I've done it before but never all the way through. I like the workout though. I might try it again soon. I need to get back into shape and I actually like some of the workouts

I don't really have much weight to lose, so it should be interesting. I definitely could tone up the butt a bit though.

It's a great workout.

One of the best and quickest ways to get back in shape IMO. Done it a few times.

I like how you "are starting" in two days.

if you're trying to be in good shape you need to do deadlifts

first 2 weeks are rough, but you will wake up every morning feeling much better than the day before. I know that sounds simple and rhetorical, but it's a lifestyle change. At that point, you will be looking forward to Insanity rather than dreading it.
obviously the diet is as important as the exercise, so don't half-arse that.
I remember going through insanity the first time a few years ago, i lost maybe 12 pounds in total, but cheated so much on the diet that, in the end, it really wasn't a diet at all. I think i went from 150 to 138 lbs.

Is this a troll post? 4000 calories was your maintenance level? Were you doing an additional 4 hours of cardio per day?

Did it once in the Spring of '13, and was, by far, in the best shape of my life (and I had done P90X previously). I got my weight down below 170 for the first time in close to 10 years, and was completely shredded.
I just started round 2 a couple of weeks ago, and am surprised at how quickly I've been able to adjust to the brutality of it. Much easier than the first time, although still fricking murder. I haven't really done much in the way of staying in shape since round 1, so I'm really shocked at the transition.
I'll probably move on to Asylum when I'm done. That was the plan the first go-round, but I bought a house & was moving, so I got off-track.
