On the West Bank, if you know anyone or have someone in there, please go check their finances. One nurse booked a cruise while another opened a credit card in her name. Now my moms aunt is in serious debt and we've had no idea.

She can't just dispute the charges?

I've had it pop up a couple of times with a credit card and a debit card, charges were credited back almost immediately each time.

Are you here for pity or do you want advice?

Pity: Scruffy is so sorry to hear that.

Advice: Sue them until they lose their homes.

Lol no I'm just here serving as a PSA. We're discovering more and more charges and purchases being made every day.

This sucks. I've got a strong suspicion it was a CNA or perhaps an LPN.

Absolutely can dispute it and get the charges reversed. Hopefully the nurse's aid count gets in trouble, but your momma baby auntie should have no debt in the end.

The assisted living stole them? Or the 6 week class Med-Tech or administrative assistant stole them?

The insurance industry has forced places to hire these illiterate trash who saw a commercial during daytime television and they think they are even close to being a nurse. We've had to let one go bc she kept calling herself a nurse to the pharmacy and patients.

You'll get your money back, but the police wont go after the perp. It's sad really. Money prioritzes everything.

Assisted living facilities and nursing homes are full of trashy, poorly educated trash that prey on the elderly.

Like others have said, dispute charges and lawyer up if you need to.

This is true.

This is not necessarily true. It depends entirely on the jurisdiction. Some are pretty damn lazy, others are overworked, but many will take this up.

I've seen local police go out and make an arrest over $25. I've also seen them ignore thefts of tens of thousands of dollars. The one thing I learned after working with dozens of them, the less work they have to do on it, the more likely they are to follow up.

FYI - If the purchases were on the internet from out of state, I've seen the FBI take it up when the locals wouldn't. Especially if it involved multiple people and lots of charges.
