As far as the area known as St George they do not want to leave Louisiana LSURussian.

Don't bother talking to Russian on this. That pick is of him, on the last page. He was also insinuating that St. George people were racists and that Delgado had a point about St. George residents being "terrorists".

I am not worried about him. I think what people do not understand is that this is more than just about having our own schools.
It is also about the lack of city parish services that we receive in this area.
After the first movement failed the people in this area are starting to see the neglect that we receive from the city parish govt.

Just make sure ya'll stay away from the Northshore because it is teeming with hooligans. And it's full over here. No more room.

Nope, didn't happen.

I criticized Delgado for saying what he did. He's scum who I opposed when he ran against Smokie Bourgeois for councilman.

Why would you lie about it?

Again, I ask you, such as?

St George would still be in the parish of EBR and would still receive parish services.

Please don't say you would get better roads. The proposed SG 'budget' that was posted on their website during the signature campaign showed a whopping $500k total budget for roads. That would cover adding two turning lanes somewhere.

All of the rest of road improvements and repairs would still come from the parish budget.

ETA: I just now saw you referenced the garbage and trash pickup services would be improved. FYI, those services are parish wide and paid for by a parish wide fee assessment.

I gripe about city services too, but you are right; most are parish services.
They need to improve, but I didn't see St George as a vehicle to achieve that.

As for the ISD thing, that's the main objective and unfortunately leaders in the legislature pushed forward the notion that I corporation was the first step to an ISD.

If that "step" was omitted, I personally would "settle" on the ISD.

Need a better name than St. George. Maybe Honkhaven or Crackertown

I live in future St George and would LOVE those 2 names. It would be even greater if only those folks lived there too!

ne possible solution that’s already been raised by Together Baton Rouge, a coalition of community and faith organizations, is a hospital service district, which can tax the people who live in their boundaries to build facilities. Like hospital officials, Together Baton Rouge leaders aren’t convinced about the feasibility of a full hospital, saying they also are exploring a stand-alone ER among other possibilities as a cheaper alternative.

From the Advocate, again the Together decided to separate.
