Would have to agree with this after having lived in all time zones. When people hear I'm from Louisiana they ask about New Orleans or Katrina. That's about it.
Anyone that's visited there most often visited because of New Orleans. Otherwise they said they were just passing through to get to another state.

West TN (Memphis, Jackson) and Grundy County are pretty terrible areas in TN

Don't get me wrong I love Chicago. The corruption and general political views have ruined the state. The rest of the state is boring to drive through, but a great place to live.
