If you're chemically dependent, you probably don't know the difference in a hangover, or if it's just needing your next fix.

So the answer is to keep drinking.

well for the non-alcoholics i'll say that at 31, when i feel hungover, the best thing to do is get the body processes started asap to get the alcohol out of your system and get your chemical balance in your brain back at equilibrium (which is the worst part for me)

get up, get your body moving, body processes started, eat something even if you don't want to, drink lots of water and move around alot, it sucks but it will shorten the amount of time that your hangover lasts

I really only get hangovers after huge binges. Only had one so far this year.

Your weekend partying at the fraternity house isn't the alcoholism we are talking about here.

We are talking about actual alcoholics, not TFM alcoholics.
Up until 3 months ago, I hadn't gone 24 hours without a drink in 10 years. I think I know what I'm talking about.

If you drink half a fifth (or more) a night - hangovers cease to exist at some point.

I get no hang overs from Crown Royal. I can drink 8 drinks and have no hang over.
I am the same way. Drank Jack exclusively up until New Year's, and switched to Crown as my resolution. I can easily drink a fifth without being drunk and will not get a hangover

If I drink Jack now, I down some Emergen-C and 400mg Ibuprofen before bed
Eat a big breakfast, pass out for a bit more, and am good to go

I spent 17 years in the bottle. When I tried to cut back, I would have seizures. I HAD to drink. I was killing myself by both drinking and not drinking. That is(to me) what a true alcoholic is. If I didn't drink, I got sick. Going on 7 years without a drop now.

I just drink early and pass out around 9. Get up at 6:30. No real hangover.

I also drink lots of water throughout the day and before passing out.

It's actually quite simple.
