Speeding Ticket in Jeff Davis Parish (NSFW)

Just got hit with a speeding ticket for doing 84 in a 70, when my cruise control was set at ~73. The court date given to me by the officer is set for October, and I plan on fighting it. What are my options for this?

Plea not guilty and get a trial date. Cop won't show to that one so the state will (likely) move to continue after you've been there for a few hours. Come back to your second trial date to get your justice peddled.*

Fight the good fight brother! But seriously, call the DA's office (337)824-1893, tell them you want assistance and they'll help you out. You'll pay $, but they'll amend it (as long as you weren't a D!k to the officer) They have to support their guys in blue...

Does Louisiana have the option to where you have the right to ask to see the radar gun to verify the reading? Too late now obviously, but just curious.

Check the ticket for any inaccuracies that could get it dismissed automatically like your license, plate or location. Go to court, if the officer shows, request a continence. Repeat as many time as needed and when he does show it gets dismissed.

got one at the end of june same area, and cop said I was doing 85 in a 70, which I seriously doubt I was going that fast.
he got in the road and flagged me and the car in front of me down, and wrote us both tickets.
